ปีที่แล้วทีมลายไทย ได้จัดงาน Joomla!Day ท่านที่ไปร่วมงานคงจะพอจำกันได้
ปีนี้ผมอยากจะจัดอีกครั้ง เนื่องจาก Joomla 1.5 Stable ได้คลอดออกมาแล้ว
และมี Technology ใหม่ๆ รวมถึงด้านการพัฒนาซึ่งเป็น MVC นั่นหมายความว่า
ความรู้ที่คุ้นเคยกันใน Joomla 1.0 , Mambo 4.5.x ก็จะไม่สามารถใช้กับ Joomla 1.5 ได้
คนที่ผมคิดว่าปีนี้อยากจะเชิญจากต่างประเทศมา ก็ได้แก่ (ขึ้นอยู่กับงบประมาณที่จะหามา support ค่าเดินทางได้)

Andy's love of computers and programming led him into Internet development during his years at the University of Florida where he graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering. Andy began with CGI programming and migrated to other technologies including ASP, PHP and Java. He has worked in all areas of the technology sector from startups and consulting companies, to Fortune 100 enterprises. ท่านสุดท้ายที่ผมคิดว่าอยากจะให้มา (แต่คงไม่มีปัญญาหาเงินค่าเดินทางให้เขาได้) ก็คือ
Soren หัวหน้าทีมพัฒนา VirtueMart จาก VirtueMart.net ซึ่งอยู่ที่มิวนิคประเทศเยอรมัน (ค่าตั๋วอย่างเดียวก็? 4,400 กว่ายูโร)
จึงอยากจะรบกวนเพื่อนสมาชิก หรือใครทำงานในองค์กร หรือบริษัทที่พอจะช่วยหางบประมาณมาช่วยกัน ทำให้เกิดงานแบบนี้ขึ้นได้ หรือบริษัทใดที่คิดว่าพอจะช่วยเหลือได้ ก็ติดต่อมาได้ครับ
ผมวางแผนคร่าวๆ ไว้ว่าจะจัดประมาณต้นเดือน พ.ค. 2008 นอกจากค่าใช้จ่ายวิทยากรต่างประเทศแล้ว ก็จะมีค่าสถานที่ (ซึ่งอันนี้คิดว่าคนที่มาร่วมงาน ก็พอจะช่วยกันหารค่าใช้จ่ายกันได้แบบหลายๆ ปีที่ผ่านมา)
ทุกครั้งที่เราจัดค่าใช้จ่ายส่วนที่ไม่พอ ผมก็ได้ให้ทางมาร์เวลิค เป็นผู้จ่ายส่วนที่ขาดทุนไป ซึ่งมาร์เวลิค เอง ก็เป็นเพียงบริษัทเล็กๆ บริษัทหนึ่งที่มุ่งหวังที่จะให้เกิดการพัฒนา Open Source ในประเทศไทยเพื่อส่งออก สู่ตลาดโลก (คิดใหญ่ไปหรือเปล่าก็ไม่รู้) สำหรับทีมพัฒนาลายไทยที่มาช่วยกันจัดงาน อดหลับอดนอน ก็ไม่เคยมีใครได้ค่าตัว บางครั้งก็รู้สึกท้อ หลายครั้งก็ถามตัวเองเหมือนกันว่าจะทำไปทำไม บริษัทอื่นๆ คนที่นำ Open Source ตัวนี้ไปทำประโยชน์หรือทำรายได้ในไทยมีมากมาย โดยที่เขาไม่ได้เข้ามาช่วยเหลือคนพัฒนา หรือค่าใช้จ่ายในการช่วยเหลือ Community เลยแม้แต่น้อย (บริษัทไหนจะบริจาค Server ให้ , ISP รายใดจะบริจาคที่วางให้ หรือใครมีทางออกให้ก็เสนอมาได้ครับ)
งาน Open Source งาน Community อยากให้ทุกคนมีส่วนร่วม มีส่วนช่วยเหลือ ใครพอจะมีแนวทางหรือมีข้อเสนออยากจะช่วยตรงส่วนไหน ก็บอกมาได้ครับ แล้วมาดูกันว่างานปีนี้จะเกิดขึ้นได้ไหม หรือว่าอาจจะไม่จำเป็นต้องจัด ต่างคนต่างไปเรียนรู้ด้วยตัวเอง ไปศึกษา ลองแกะด้วยตัวเอง ตัวใครตัวมันดี
